About Chemistry Test 02
Chemistry Test 02 is the second timed practice set in our Chemistry series for Pak Army, Navy and Pak Air Force initial tests. It has 25 multiple-choice questions to finish in 10 minutes, and every question comes from a topic that is repeated again and again in armed forces papers: chemical symbols and formulas, atomic structure, common gases, physical and chemical changes, mixtures and separation methods.
Every question has four options. When you finish, the test shows your score, the correct answers and a short explanation for each mistake. If you have not tried the first set yet, start with Chemistry Test 01 and then come back to this one.
Topics inside this test
The paper mixes symbols, formulas, atomic structure and everyday chemistry so that no single area carries you through. Expect questions on:
- Chemical symbols and Latin names, such as Fe, K, Ag and Cu
- Formulas of common compounds, such as CO₂, CH₄ and CaCO₃
- Atomic structure: protons, neutrons, electrons and atomic number
- Gases and their uses, including helium, ammonia, chlorine and methane
- Physical and chemical changes, evaporation and mixtures
- Separation methods, halogens and organic compounds
Quick revision notes from this test
- Many symbols come from Latin names: Fe from ferrum, K from kalium, Ag from argentum and Cu from cuprum.
- A proton is positive, an electron is negative and a neutron has no charge. Oxygen has atomic number 8.
- Methane is CH₄, the main part of natural gas and the simplest organic compound.
- Melting ice is a physical change, while burning paper, rusting iron and cooking an egg are chemical changes.
- Baking soda and vinegar give off carbon dioxide, and chlorine is used to disinfect drinking water.
- Filtration separates an insoluble solid from a liquid, and air is a mixture of gases.
How to get the most from this test
Attempt the test once without looking anything up. Your first score shows where you really stand. Then read the explanation for every wrong answer and write the symbol, formula or fact in a notebook in your own words. Chemistry questions in armed forces tests are mostly short and factual, so a neat list of symbols, formulas and gases is the fastest way to improve.
Try the test again after two or three days. If the same questions keep going wrong, spend extra time on that topic before moving on.
Frequently asked questions
Is Chemistry Test 02 useful for Pak Army, Navy and PAF initial tests?
