About Physics Test 02

Physics Test 02 is the second timed practice set in our Physics series for Pak Army, Navy and Pak Air Force initial tests. It has 25 multiple-choice questions to finish in 10 minutes, and every question comes from a topic that is repeated again and again in armed forces papers: units, electricity, motion, light, heat, waves and the atom.

Every question has four options. When you finish, the test shows your score, the correct answers and a short explanation for each mistake. If you have not tried the first set yet, start with Physics Test 01 and then come back to this one.

Topics inside this test

The paper mixes electricity, mechanics, light, heat and modern physics so that no single area carries you through. Expect questions on:

  • Units and measuring instruments, such as the coulomb, joule, voltmeter and hygrometer
  • Electricity: series circuits, fuses, transformers, motors and resistance
  • Motion and Newton's laws, including average speed
  • Light: plane mirrors, refraction and the colours of a prism
  • Heat: convection, specific heat capacity and the freezing point of water
  • Waves, atmospheric pressure, the atom and the gravitational constant

Quick revision notes from this test

  • Charge is measured in coulombs, energy in joules, and potential difference with a voltmeter.
  • Speed = distance ÷ time, so 150 m in 10 s gives 15 m/s.
  • In a series circuit the current is the same through every component.
  • Light bends when it enters a new medium, which is refraction, and red light bends the least in a prism.
  • Sound needs a medium, while light, radio waves and X-rays can travel through a vacuum.
  • Standard atmospheric pressure is about 1.01 × 10⁵ Pa, and the specific heat capacity of water is about 4,200 J/kg°C.

How to get the most from this test

Attempt the test once without looking anything up. Your first score shows where you really stand. Then read the explanation for every wrong answer and write the fact or unit in a notebook in your own words. Physics questions in armed forces tests are mostly short and factual, so a neat list of units, instruments and laws is the fastest way to improve.

Try the test again after two or three days. If the same questions keep going wrong, spend extra time on that topic before moving on.

Frequently asked questions

Is Physics Test 02 useful for Pak Army, Navy and PAF initial tests?

Yes. The questions follow the units, instruments, electricity, light and heat topics that are commonly repeated in the physics section of armed forces initial tests.

How much time do I get?

You get 10 minutes for 25 questions. The pass mark is 50 percent, and the timer starts when you press Start.
